Revit MEP 2013

I have a project that is at an angle.

I have rotated the Project North before I begin working with the model.

Please could you confirm if I am correct in stating that this will rotate only my plan views and not the actual 3D view?

I am assuming that true north is there for the task of keeping the model at the same rotation to allow collaboration with other disciplines. M&E, Arch, Structural etc.

Thanks

True North is just that.  Solar studies, shadows and property lines using bearings will all be correct.  Project North does set all views up according to your rotation.  But always remember, you can independently rotate any view.

So I can adjust project North as I see fit at the beginning of my project with any concern for collaboration issues as this is only relevant for the true north. Are there any other considerations I should be thinking about? I've chosen this way as I'd pretty much like all views to be that rotation. Is it the best solution? Thank you Smile

Project north is always the best solution rather than rotating each and every view.

Collaboration is a different issue and very hard for most new users to understand.  I suggest you read as much as you can about defining the project's location and how that relates to other consultants in both Revit and CAD.
