hey folks:
I am sure there is an easy way to do this, but i haven't been able to find it. how do you realign an elevation view so that it is parallel to the wall that it is showing? please see attached image to see what i am talking about.
Thanks!

There may be a easier/better way, but here is how I've been doing it. Use the rotate grip on the elevation to get it back to orthoginal to the view. Then you can use the rotate tool to rotate it back to exactly line up with the wall.

Why not just create a new one? Revit will automatically align with that slanted wall. Just get it close enogh initially for Revit to do that, then move, push, pull it as required.

I can do that, but then i'd have to reapply the settings that were view specific and reinsert the view to the sheet. it would be easier just to rotate, if that's possible (i haven't found the rotate grip thing TK mentioned)

Just make a view template from the other sheet and apply it to the new. That may be asier then rotating. Obviously that does not account for individual hides or over-rides.

Sorry, I wasn't very clear there. First you have to select the elevation symbol (the center part), that is the part with the rotate grip. Then you select the elevation (the arrow), and use the rotate tool. You use the rotate tool on the elevation symbol as well.
