Hello all,
I'm relatively new to Revit, so apologies if this is a really simple problem...
I have edited an existing family, a desk, but now I have loaded the family into the project, it appears correctly in 3D view, but plan view still shows the desk/family how it was before I edited it, any ideas why this may be happening?
Many Thanks.

Your family has symbollic linework for plan views with the 3D turned off. Edit the family.

Hello, I seem to have run into the very same problem, but don't quite understand the fix that is posted. I need a bit more information on what exactly I have to edit to fix it. Is there a button to toggle between basing its plan view on symbolic lone work or 3d plan? Is this even what you mean by edit? If so where do I find the button? I am using revit 2014Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You need some more fundamental information if you don't know about editing a family. Way too much to respond here so I suggest you find a beginning Revit book. Also, download the "families guide" from the autodesk site.
