How do i make the 4 horizontal cables to break at the small gap between the 2 metal flats. I tried using baluster family but then the end post does not end where the railing ends. It just go ahead and extend itself beyond the sketch line in order to retain both end post. Pls see attachment.

Have you tried with the Baluster Panel family?

You could do this as multiple railings.

  1. The top rail only
  2. A railing that is the end posts and the intermediate cables only
  3. .... copy #2 to multiple locations

teafoe5: i did try with baluster panel family, yes i got the gap that i want but the end post retain itself beyond the rail sketch line(see attachment). Right now i set the width as 600mm, how do i tell the end post to end itself before even reaching 600mm in length?

WWHub: i'm not sure what you mean by multiple railings..

Thw railing families in the same location with the top rail only family being continuous and the family with just a single post at each end and the "wire" rails and this being repeated under the continuos top rail.  This would solve the problem you had with teafoes solution because you can really control your spacing.

I've tried like what u suggested..turns out pretty good, but if you see the railing image below, how can i make the 4 cables to end at the last post (and not extend itself beyond it). By the way, the 4 cables are from a baluster family. I include also the railing set-ups..if somebody can just point to where did i set wrong...

If that last panel is the same railing as the others, it should not happen.  << Just short sections of railings.  Show us just that railing.

A week break from the railing, now i'm back at it again..ach!

Managed to achive something like this (refer to image), but since the 1st post on the far left is part of the whole pattern, i can't get rid of it without getting rid of all individual posts at the right side end of the 4 cables...

Your answer is as I explained earlier.  Seperate railings.  One that is just your top rail and then repeated rainlings below that as shown in attached.  This is 3 seperate railings and no top rail.
