well i'm having trouble creating a roof over a bay window, the roof needs to needs to have a ridge which then joins onto the main roof of the house. help me please!!!!

An attachment would be nice to see what you're trying to do, or a screenshot. Is the level of top plate same as main roof? If it is, you might have to create the roof a little away from the main roof and then click join roofs. I think if you're too close it doesn't do it. You can create a roof out in the middle of nowhere and then join it to walls/ roofs.
