Is it possible to link families together, i.e. thermostat to unit heater.
Currently as a company standard, we lable the thermostat w/ text corresponding to the equipment it controls. The way we are doing it now is we have mechanical equipment family created for the t-stat and tag it. However when this is done you get an error that says something to the effect of "Elements have duplicate mark values". Not a huge deal but is annoying.
Anyway, what i would like to do is when a piece of equipment is placed i would like to "link" the thermostat to it in such a way that the mark value will carry through. this would also solve a problem of changing equipment names but forgetting to change the thermostat tag.
This is probably not possibe but just thought i would check if anyone has done anything similar.
