Hi, I have attached an image that I want to draw in Revit. It is essentially a hip to gable end loft coversion with a small extension to the rear. Finding it difficult to understand the drawing. Not making much sense.
Any help fron architects appreciated.
Thanks

looks like a hyp roof and shedlike roof addition, where the roof is flat...then also the new hyp part has its corner notched out. the shed roof addition on the left drawing is vague because of the nature of the elevation drawing and the front-on view.
when you make the hyp roof. first make the dutch gable part, the in plan view you notch it. to make a dutch gable you need to break the pink slope line into 3 pieces, assign slope only to the middle of the three, and then raise its elevation in the prop window....then it makes a hyp like the drawing. after that, add on the flat roof section to the one side of the model...

Yes, it is what I believe that is know as a Dutch hip. Very new to me. This is a project that we have been asked to build and the architect who did the drawinga can no longer be traced so all is very vague to me. I wanted to model the plans in Revit so I could at least have an idea of what it looks like in 3D. It would be so much easier then.
Just can't make head or tail of the sketches, so if any of you more experienced guys can help out I would be very grateful. I am attaching the full plans if it will help somehow.
The build is basically a hip to gable loft conversion. There is already a side extension on the side which has a flat roof but the client has asked for the flat roof to now be pitched, which is obviously where this dutch gable bit comes in.
If I could just see the darn thing in 3D it would be so much clearer to me. I'm not too bad with plans but this thing has got me baffled.
Any ideas gang?
Any help so so much appreciated. I don't know, maybe I am officially thick and just can't see the wood for the trees!
Or does it look feasible to anybody here.
Thanks, Kirk
