Hi,

Is there any way to assign my modal in place with a family and type as we use custom naming for the family and type to categorize the elements at my firm

Thank You

There are NO types for in-place families.  In-place families are best used ONE at a time so no need for types.  When you create an in-place family, you can and should set the category which is the very first menu that pops up.

Thanks for the reply WWHub. Just a quick question after the selection of the family from the set of category another pop up to name that in place modal appears, my question is where is the name being stored in Revit and can we view it in the properties of that in place modal.

Thank You

Why do you ask thes question-you can't break Revit?

Try it !

And look in your family area in the browser.
