I am running Revit Architecture 2012. Currently I am working on a trainstation.
I got in the attached ACAD file from a subcontractor of the platform. Of course I can link this file into my Revit model and it works, ok. But, I need this 3D object to be a floor. I need it to host benches and other platform equipment. I also need to get the square meters from it and to schedule it.
Any ideas?

Thanks for the link. I have actually already read this post. :-)
I have done just what the author suggests. However, I cannot skin the model with a floor.
I can make it into a roof or add walls but no floor. It wants to make floors within the volume.
I know I could go in an make all the families I want to host to this object into roof hosted familes, but that is silly.
Any other suggestions? Thanks! :-)

You already try sketching the floor of the profile first, then use a in-place model void to carve out the bottom of it? When your done you can group the void and floor together so they move as one.
