Is it possible to turn off the wall host setting in wallbased casework family?

Any comments will be appreciated.

I dont think so. but you could copy and paste the parts into a new non-wall based family.

I haven't heard anything different about 2013 but in all other releases, you can't copy from family to family.

 

I think you will be stuck in creating a new family.

You can copy/paste from family to family and project to project, you just have to keep both files open. You can also copy in-place family to another family as long as you are editing the in-place family when you copy, and keep the project open when you paste.

I forgot to add, when you C&P between families the pieces will often lose their association/locks to ref planes. It's pretty easy to fix, but it's definitely something to watch for.
