Greetings everyone, I am brand new to Revit and have a question about how to make a family that runs linear (like a wall). I am using Revit Architecture 2013 and need to make a light gauge top track for BIM modeling. I have downloaded the bottom track off this site, thankks btw, but want to figure out how to do this on my own and I can't figure out how to manipulate the one I download to flip it over. I think there is some kind of formula I am supposed to enter to make it continuous but don't know.

Hi Modularman,
There's a simple box to check off to flip the profile.

Thanks for responding, I don't think I explained very well what I am wanting. In the attached picture I have created a top track profile in a Generic Family template. I want to have this profile be continuous, if I extrude this form it only comes in at the length the family is extruded to. I want to be able to draw over the Architect's 2d floorplans, with this top track so I can get my wall heights set in the BIM model. I think this is clear as mud, I am looking for a way to make the profile below linear so I can draw it continuously. There may be such a simple solution to this that I am confussing everyone. I may need to make it a sweep, but I think sweeps have to be attached to something like a wall.

Revit already has the tools in place to do what you want. This profile family just has to be set to the proper use then it can be used in a wall sweep. You will want your geometry above the insertion point so that it sits on top of the wall.
Check out how to place a cornice - I'm sure there are some u-tube videos on this.
