Hello,
Revit 2012 here, I am less than a day away from printing and this odd error showed up last night. I have mechanical and structural linked into my files and so far both have looked great, until I noticed in only my 1:50 views one of mechanical's line weights were absolutely massive! it seems like whenever there is anything that is connected to the floor or a drain or something circular there, the line weight produces a black circle about 1400mm in diameter. when the thin lines are on everything looks fine, but then thin lines are off, the black circles show up, but only at a 1:50 scale.
how can I control the line weights of a linked file at a particular scale?
Mechanical says everything looks fine on their end.
Thanks in advance!

Lineweights are controlled through multiple settings. At the project level through the manage/object styles tab; at the view level in VG; and for linked files, you can control those seperately throgh VG/linked file tab ... you can set the linked file to use the hose file settings (default) or specify what you want.
