I've created and imported custom patterns from a .pat file in previous versions, but Revit 2012 is not allowing me to import.
I recive the error: 'No "Model" type patterns found', and / or 'No "Drafting" type patterns found', despite the fact that they are called out in the .pat file.
I've imported from this .pat file before, and it contains both custom drafting and model type patterns.
Has anyone encountered this before?

Use single files - one per pat, not a multiple file.

Is this a new requirement for the 2012 software? As I said, I've used this .pat file previously with no issues. I don't seem to be able to import any patters, even those I've sucessfully imported into previous projects.
Also - I tried deleting all the additional text aside from the pattern I'm trying to import, to no avail. Here is the text from the .pat file:
;%UNITS=INCH;%VERSION=3.0
*Illusion 48;%TYPE=MODEL0, 0,0 0, 24, 47.5,.50, 0,8 0, 24, 47.5,.50, 0,16 0, 24, 47.5,.5
Any ideas?

One more attempt to have the forum correctly dispaly the .pat text:
;%UNITS=INCH
;%VERSION=3.0
*Illusion 48
;%TYPE=MODEL
0, 0,0 0, 24, 47.5,.5
0, 0,8 0, 24, 47.5,.5
0, 0,16 0, 24, 47.5,.5

That's a bad pat file. I don't know where you got it but even I can't load it.

I'm not sure what the pattern is supposed to look like so I can't debug it for you but.
This works fine, with the addition of 2 commas.
*Illusion 48
;%TYPE=MODEL
0,0,0,0,24,47.5,.5
0,0,8,0,24,47.5,.5
0,0,16,0,24,47.5,.5
I think your problem is the ,0 0, on the first line and the ,8 0, on the second line.

In the place of mode, type MODEL or DRAFTING. You might need to adjust import scale of the hatch too.
