How can I copy some of the Architects wall types into my drawing?

I linked the revit drawing but the wall types are replaced with a generic 8".  If I tell it to copy the wall types in under copy monitor then it unjoins all there walls and it messes the plan lines up.

Just thinking there should be an easy way.

If you just link the model, then walls will be what the architect has.  Otherwise, you can copy/monitor the walls and turn off the architect's walls.  When you initiall start the copy/monitor, you have the option of defining what wall you use.  If you have the generic 8", then you didn't follow that process.  I suggest you read up on copy-monitor in your HELP.
