I am adding a revision cloud to an entire sheet. I am locating the cloud on the sheet view. Revit is automatically adding a line item in the title block that indicates the revision info. for instance "1 addendum 2 8/13/12"
anyone know how not to get it to show up? is there a toggle somewhere that I can't seem to locate?
Thanks

MANAGE>ADDITIONAL SETTINGS>SHEET ISSUES/REVISIONS and uncheck the issued box if you do not want it to show up.

As far as I know, there is no way to stop Revit from showing the revision info for a revcloud. Something I have done in the past when I just need to call out something for clarification purposes is blank out the revision info (creating a new revision if necessary). Revit will still add a line to the rev schedule, but it won't have any information. Annoying, but it does work as a temporary fix.
The "Issued" check box has nothing to do with showing or not showing lines in the schedule, all it does is lock previous revisions so they can't be accidentally changed. If it's checked, you can't edit the date/description, and you can't edit revclouds/tags (though you can control their visibility).

It seems like there should be some way of making adjustments to the tag at the very least, otherwise it assumes that everyone is using the same titleblock format with the revision/issue list in the same place in the titleblock.
I realize that you would typically be clouding items in the details view and not the sheets view(thus this doesn't seem to be an issue), but what if you are revising a entire sheet.
Kennedy - your solution may work for a quick fix. thanks for the info.

ok, so I've done a little more research and discovered the "revisions on sheet" window located within the properties. this contols what revsions will be shown on the revision schedule within the titleblock. They can checked or unchecked, unless however you have placed the revision cloud on the sheet. In this instance there doesn't seem to be a way to uncheck the box.
doesn't help my cause, but thought I should post for anyone else that stumbles upon this post looking for solutions.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but it sounds like you want to place a cloud to provide clarification, not as a true revision cloud. Revit really doesn't like to do this, revclouds are completely tied to revisions. The revision system in Revit is fairly automated, and really does work very well when used as intended.
If you are just trying to provide clarification and the revision schedule issue won't let you use revclouds, detail lines or a repeating detail might work.

I am creating a revision cloud for the issuance of a revision. However this being our first project in revit we did not have the foresight or knowledge of exactly how this all works and thus did not format our revision schedule/issue schedule to work with the automatic scheduling of revit.
We were manually entering in our revision and issuance items. thus the problem now.
I now understand the system and will keep this in mind for our future projects. (and will attemp to revise for our current project.)

If you are filling out your revision schedule manually (I'm assuming either with text or labels), why not just pull the revision schedule out of the titleblock family?

The revision process in Revit works so well that it is one of the first tools you should learn to use.

Thanks Kennedy. I will look into doing this. Thanks
We are suplimenting our limited revit knowledge with autocad (and as a means to our time constraint for the project). We have half the set (details) in autocad and our plan elevation and schedule sheets in revit.
Learing something new every day. We'll get there in due time.
