Hello,
I am new to REVIT and I have just began my training. My boss has just asked me to select 3 pieces of equipment from the mechanical equipment library and send them to him on a blank drawing so he can send on an email.
When I open the standard Revit files at the start up I get a building and a HVAC system. I then select the 3 mechanical items and place them on the drawing.
Can anybody tell me how I can copy these to a blank drawing and send them on please?
Thank you

I'm assuming you mean you have started a new project and inserted the families into the project.? What does your boss want you to send to him? The actual families? The families on a sheet in a PDF? You can put the items into a view in a project (floor plan or elevation or 3D etc. depending on what you want to see) then open up a sheet view and drag the view with the items into the sheet with your companies title block, then you can plot to a PDF and send it to him.

I think what he wants is an empty project file with the families loaded in, then he can just send off the one file and the recipient can take those familes.
So just start a new blank project, not a template. Click the big "R" at the top left, new, project and just select anything. Then go to insert, load family, and one at a time load in each one. Then save your new file and send them the .rvt file.
The easier way would be to just send out the three seperate .rfa families.
