Hi guys! how can i draw a simple fan? just a cylinder with 6 blades. i have problems on finding out how to make the blades. tried extrusion, sweep multiple extrusions, but nothing made it. could somebody please give me some tipps or even better post a few screenshots on ho wto do it?
thank you very much!
ps: the blades MUST have an inclination just like real blades. extruding a "flower" is not a solution..
thanks

I don't believe revit is the program to do this, it is not an industrial design program. You would be better off in sketchup like this one: http://sketchup.google.com/3dwarehouse/details?mid=419327cc99fdf6c43ab9904eea287f61&prevstart=0 then load that in a Revit family.

Do they need to twist, or just rotated?

Hi guys!
thank you for all your answers hints links etc! i am just missing one step: ppl say not to import autocad into revit, and you can read about it everywhere, but you say to do so anyway. quite sure that both of you are right, my question is WHEN do i import a cad file, when do i have to avoid it?
tkennedy, rotated is enough, no need to twist..
thanks guys!

You said "...the blades MUST have an inclination just like real blades...". If the rules now is that they don't need to be twisted but can be flat, then this is very easy to do in Revit. Just extrude your blade in elevation, then from a perpindicular view, rotate it, then go back to the elevation and array it.
