How do I create a fixed height boundary wall of a site on its sloped surface. The wall is to be of fixed height throughout such that it maintains a parallel line with the cut line along topo surface.

I have always just sketch, edited the wall to create this affect. You might be able to do a sweep.

What do you by sketching. Do you mean you do draw a model line in an insitemass and do a sweep along that line? Even if you that how do you ensure your sketch line is drawn on the surface of yout topo throughout?

What I meant was I edited the profile of the walls... assuming they are all straight section. I created an elevation for each portion and edited the wall, including the bottom if I wanted step footings.
For a sweep, you would have to create something like 3D lines alog the slope.... not easy.

I just looked for and could not find, a technique that I believe elados, proposed which seemed rather involved but which would work good for this item. It was to create a path on a topo. Seemed like he cut out the topo and then I think he exported to CAD, then imported back to Revit as roof, then created edge on roof with gutter, think he was making a path, but edge could be wall or fence. You might try looking there.

Yes Ty, that is the one I was thinking of, I found in my book finally,
http://www.revitcity.com/tutorials/complex_slabs
Maybe that would be place to start.

Thanks guys but my topo surface is too uneven. It will be too much, tedious and long hours of guess work to use any of these methods. I thought the subregion tool creates surfaces along slopes. If I can't find an accurate solution to this, I will leave this out and do the wall in Maya when I have finished in Revit.

May be if there was a way of picking points on surfaces in revit to display their spot levels I may try eldados method.

why don't you post a site plan? Maybe something else will be thought of like drawing a workplane on the property line then providing a structural view of the work plane which will be normal to it. then you can trace the path on the work plane and create an extrusion.
