Hi,

How to create solid base instead of sloping waist slab for staircase?

The base will be in "L" shape (Solid Base). Please refer the attached image.

I tried stair seperately and solid base seperately as a model-in-place component.

But I can't join both. The problem is the "joint geometry" tool is not working for stair and model-in-place component eventhough both are in the same material.

If you have any workaround, pls. reply me.

Thank you.

Create "Walls" around the stair or create an "In-place" solid like you are doing and because you can't use the Join geometry tool between them use the "linework" tool to "clean" the join lines, you'll need to do this in any view you want but when you render will look fine.

Thank you for your response, Typhoon.

When I use multiple copy of In-place, It will duplicate the components.

Then there are many model-in-place components and that will increase the file size. That is why i try to avoid model-in-place.

But in this case, no choice. As you mentioned, I will use the "Linework" to clean join line in each view.

Thanks again. Smile
