Hi All,
I'm trying to set up a handrail bracket family to support my railing and I need them to be consistantly perpendicular.
Much like what this project is going:

I made a quick variation and locked a reference line perpendicular to the cut angle and built my bracket off that.
However when I load it into my project and set it as one of the balusters all of them are horizontal and do not follow the slopes.
I have attached the family for reference and any help would be appreciated
Thanks!

Use Ref. Lines and not ref. planes, create and lock those dimensions, flex the family first to see if everything is working, create the extrusion and lock to those ref. planes and lines. flex again. Done

Hi Typhoon,
Thanks alot for the help. I realized I sent you an outdated file and I did do a version based off reference lines.
The key for me though through some trial and error was I am using a baluster family template and it comes with a top cut angle and a bottom cut angle, as well as a slope angle parameter that doesn't seem to be assigned to anything by default.
I see your referencing the angle to the top cut angle and when i did that i could flex it in the the family but it would always stay vertical in the project. However if i replace the top cut angle with the slope angle and load it then it works ...
Kinda curious because I guess i don't know the fundamental logic of balusters as well as i would like but at least something is wokring right now.
