Hi All

PLease help me in my workflow from Revit to Autocad to Max.. I have modelled a project in Revit2012 and now I have to render it in 3DsMax2012 since Max has more options and and produces a more realistic render. So what I did was export the 3D view in revit to DWG and opened it in Autocad2012, ( I am doing this step because Autocad has layers to work with ) , then I imported the Autocad file into 3dsMax2012..when I imported the cad file to max, it prompted me with the same window about what layers do i want to export etc...but after the file opened i checked the layers and it was different, the layers in autocad that were previously present (even during import) were not there anymore, instead i have all these individual wall types and doors and mullions etc. as my layers.

So my questions are1. where are the layers from the cad file? 2.how come 3dsMax stil recogizes the model as revit if i imported the model from autocad?Anyone please help me, thanks in advance.
