I need to create a pie-shaped roof.  But when I create a "Roof by Footprint", and I use the arc part of the roof as my sloped edge, and the roof is set to slope at a 4/12 pitch, it creates the roof with the 4/12 pitch from the arc to the point, but thru the cross-section, it is an arc.  How do you create this roof so it is flat, when you would view it thru the cross section.

Hope you understand what I am looking for.

Thanks

I don't think I totally understand.. you are makind a round roof?  Can you attach a picture of what you are trying to accomplish?  If you do not want the roof to slope and just want a flat roof click on the outline of the roof when you are editing and on your options bar there will be a check box that says "DEFINE SLOPE", UNCHECK that box.

This is the "pie" that I am trying to create.  It is hard to tell, but not only does it go up at a 4/12 pitch (to the peak), it also curves (you can tell by the shingle hatch).

Now I do realize, that in order to get it flat, the facia, or curved edge, will actually be concave (the middle part of the facia going down)

I don't understand the problem. If the plan is a quarter of a pie, and the slope is only at the curved edge, the section of

the roof shows straight lines, not arcs.

can you put in a short straight section (say 50mm) in centre of curve, then apply slope to this straight section only.

this way the roof will be all 1 plane as you require.

cheers
