I have some fire wall "course" hatching that I use in walls that shows as a "dashed line" in the walls to indicate which are rated walls in the plan views - if that make sense.

The trouble I'm having is that the hatch looks great in the walls running side to side in plan, but the hatch does not turn with the walls running up and down.  Is there a way to get the plan view wall hatching to turn with the wall?

People have been trying to do this since the beginning of Revit.  Your welcome to search the archives for all the attempted soultions many - many posts.  I don't believe there is a good one so we don't do it.

How would you recommend handling the indicating of fire walls?

We have a code sheet that shows all rated walls where we show all model elements halftone and add different wide linework at the center of rated walls.  Not a typical REVIT solution ... really a CAD solution.  We also hatch the different occupancies on this plan.

All of our walls are identified in the large scale plans with wall tags - rated walls include an R in the tag.
