Hi,
After a few headaches, I found out that you shouldn't use a hyphen symbol i.e. a '-' in a parameter name.
Revit accepts the parameter name OK, but when its used in a formula Revit attempts to evaluate it and you always get an error.
Just wondering if there is a list somewhere of symbols that shouldn't be used for this reason.
I was looking to use some brackets in the name, but am wondering if they are also likely to cause future problems.
Cheers.

Here in your HELP menu: http://wikihelp.autodesk.com/Revit/enu/2013/Help/00001-Revit_He0/2760-Tools_an2760/3001-Formulas3001/3004-Valid_Fo3004
Look at the bottom of that page and you'll see : "Note: It is recommended that you do not use a dash (-) when naming parameters."
