Can someone explain the differences and benefits between using a curtain wall vs. window? I've been using a lot of window components for exterior windows I'm building as-builts of, but I'm starting to think maybe I should use curtain wall system for some of them?
I attached an image with markups. Any comments greatly appreciated!

This is so nicely gridded out that I would probably use a curtain wall for everything. But it's also nice being consistent with windows vs. curtain walls for scheduling purposes in a typical scenario. I've caught people editing wall profiles to leave a 3x4 void to fill with curtain wall instead of windows. BAD.

I HAVE BEEN USING WINDOWS WHEN I CAN AND USING CURTAIN WALLS WHERE THE WINDOW IS THE FULL WIDTH AND HEIGHT OF THE WALL. AS YOU CAN ONLY PLACE WINDOWS IN A WALL.
HOW DO I PLACE A CILL/SILL BELOW A CURTAIN WALL WINDOW?

You wrote: "...AS YOU CAN ONLY PLACE WINDOWS IN A WALL...." I'm not sure what you mean by this. You might not understand all the tools available to you. In your curtain wall properties, there is a switch setting called "automatically embed". If that is on and you place a curtain wall in a wall area, the curtain wall will cut a hole in the wall.

W@e don't know what you want for your 'cill', we say 'sill' here.
What do you place along the bottom of your curtain wall? I would think you use a mullion. That mullion can be a stock item or a mullion that you created. .... So obviously it can be any shape you want, even a compound shape. But it would be all one material.
If you need two different materials, Then you could add another horizontal grid so that you could have two seperate 'mullions' - one just above the other.
Another option is to use a wall sweep below your curtain wall (assuming there is a wall there) or you could just do an in-place sweep.
