I am creating door tags and need the tag to read which level the door is placed and the room in which the door opens in to, i have tried creating new shared perametres for the rooms so i can access them as a label, but still the door doesnt pick up which room,
any advice would be great,,
thanks

I don't believe this is taggable but you can schedule it and no need to add a parameter.
In your door schedules, we have the option of showing the “TO” and “FROM” side of every door. This is useful in determining / showing keying. I’m sure all of you have looked at this and can’t see how to use it because it appears to be random… BUT… it is not random and you can control it.
Look at the following image. The key to controlling to/from is the side of the wall the door is placed from. That side will be the “TO” room. You can then reverse the door swing if you need to.

I am trying to create a door tag symbol with the door number (same as room number) in the top of the symbol and below show for example A, B or C depending on how many doors go into that room. The parameter I have for the door number is Mark, can someone please tell me how to achieve the A,B C or D?

You can add a DUMB parameter that you fill in. Otherwise, read the post just above yours.

I did try to create a text parameter for the A,B C etc but when I import it into the project I cannot edit the text parameter I created. Please see attached. How do I successfully create a dumb parameter?

All parameters to be used in tags must be a shared parameter. If you don't know what that is - read about it in your HELP.
