(RAC 2012)
I've been working on setting up a door family and corresponding door tag that would show egress capacity when needed, say for a life safety plan for instance. I created a shared parameter called 'egress capacity' and added that parameter to the door family, then used that same shared parameter to create a label in the door tag family. All seems to be working well for that particular door family, but now i need to add that same shared parameter to other door families, and when i do, the door tag doesn't 'see' the egress capacity parameter for that door. Can anyone help me understand where I'm making the error here? The attached files are the door family that works(Door Single -FLush), the door tag and the door family that doesnt work. Feel free to download and tinker with - but if you figure it out, let me know what you did.
thanks

Did you use the same shared parameter file for the other door families?
Shared parameters are identified by morfe than their name. There are some special qualifiers that you can't access or edit.

It would appear that way - when I go to the shared parameters in each file, the same file shows up. I gave it another go with a different door family with the same undesired result. Just so I understand the procedure - when adding shared parameters to a family, the workflow is to open the parameter Properties box, click add under parameters, select shared parameter, then select the shared parameter file, and finally select the appropriate parameter, and youre done?
thanks

WWHub - I think that was the problem - I went back into the tag to edit the label, and added the egress parameter again and that did the trick. I'm not sure why thats the case, as the same shared parameter file is being used across all of these files, but nonetheless, its working correctly now. Thanks for your help.
