I want to put my downloaded pattern file into the patterns folder instead of on the desktop. where is it on my drive? I just can't find the pattern folder. I have revit 2011

By default are all in one file, "Revit.pat", search for that file... but you can create a pattern folder (wherever you want) where you can place the whole pattern files you have...

Your fill pattern code needs to be cut and pasted / incorporated into the *.pat file located in the c:\program files\ folder.
See attached image.

Thanks or both answers.
I ended up making a folder of my own. seems to work fine. I didnt know about the songle complete pattern file. seems dicey.

Where does Revit 2014 store its fill patterns on the C: drive?

Just so everyone knows, the location of this file has changed with almost every version of Revit. Attached image shows some of the locations.
