I'm trying to find or create a family of structural connections that can be used to illustrate joist hangers, etc. relating to residential joists, beams, etc. The Connection Symbols family doesn't appear to work when I load it in to my project. It simply does not load. Creating a Generic Annotation family is possible, but scaling the geometry is a factor I will have to work out (not the best method). I'm only trying to show 2d linework in plan as well as generate a schedule of these components, so I may populate the schedule with info. on those particular items. Does anyone have a better way of accomplishing this?
