is there a way to snap to the focii of a revit drawn elipse?

Not that I am aware of.

Yes. If you turn On the focus marks, you can snap to those points as quadrants.

I'd be interested to know how to turn them on also?

 

I found this post which may be of help.  But after searching I could not find a way to turn on focus marks.

Select the ellipse, find the property, and turn it on.

That works! Tested it just to be sure.. Length of triangle perim between focii and to any perimeter point is all equal.
