Hi
Does anyone have any tips on what would be the best way to copy assemblies between projects?
I have made assemblies with sheets and callouts that i want to usew in more projects.
When i do normal copy past i only get the elements included but none of the callouts nor the sheets
thank you in advance
Sigurjón

You could make a template file with your assemblie in it.

Those assemblies can not be used in my template because i dont want them to assect the material takeoff and the schedules when those are not in use.
I have figured out that I cant copy between project which is a shame because it would give possibilities of these assemblys to to be ready on sheets even if they have new parameters
I could probably maka a project file and import it with the assembly maybe?

Anything in a template file can be deleted when a new project is started.
I see teafoe's solution still as your best option at this time. Unless you just want to link a project with just these assmblies and sheets and then print these sheets ... just like you would with consultant files.

You can copy between projects (or families), but both files have to be open when you paste.
The assemblies don't have to be in your template, but you can create a project that only has the assemblies in it, and save that to your library. When you need an assembly, open the file, copy, paste.

If i where to make the template with all possible assemblies including sheets and views it would be too much and i would have to remake them in the template file
My plan was to make assemblies everytime i am making a project and reuse it if any project would need similar elements such as the glue lam systems my company is mainly using.
I thought about the idea Tkennedy came up with to make a project file only containing the assembly but that would give me the same problem because i cant transfer the assembly sheets and views with the assembly elements.
Probably my only and best option would be to save old projects as the new project and delete everything i wouldnt need.
The problem there though is that I would have to be using a ols template file over and over again and i wouldnt get the changes I had made to the new one
