Trying to remember how to save 3d views in Revit. Seems like it should be easy. (I'm sure it is).
Thank You

Well you can export them to Jpeg.
you can print to PDF
you can use the render window to create renderings and those views gets saved in the browser.
otherwise its a right click on the view and create a duplicate view.

Open the "3D view", go to the big "R" then Export > ... (DWG, DXF, DGN... format you want)

I was hoping to save it as a view so I can drag it into a sheet.

It is a view, just place it on your sheet.
If you mean your default 3D view, just change the name, then place it. The next time you click on the house icon, you will see a new 3D view. ...Or you can just copy the default 3D view and rename it.

But it's not locked. Every time I go into the 3d view and change the orientation it changes on the sheet. I want it locked on a specific position.
Thanks

AS I POSTED: If you mean your default 3D view, just change the name, then place it. The next time you click on the house icon, you will see a new 3D view. ...Or you can just copy the default 3D view and rename it. Just don't rotate it anymore!
You can lock a perspective (camera) 3D view in the latest release.

Thanks WWHhub. I knew it would be something simple.

The trick for me is to name the duplicate 3D views with names like "view of kitchen" or "view towards Master bathroom" then I know those aren't the ones that need to be the working 3d view where you rotate and look at the model.
ie. you can right click on the 3d view in the browseer and pick "duplicte view", or create perspective views with the camera tool. both reside in the 3d secion of the browser. where they can be placed on sheets.

Also, in 2012 there is a 'lock' button that will lock the orentation of the view so you cannot accidentally rotate the view.
