When I tag a pad footing, the tag appears right in the center of the pad, where the column is.  Why does Revit think this is good, and how do I get the tags to appear NEXT to the pad?

The tag attaches to the edge of the footing or foundation with a leader that you can move around to read how you want.  On the options bar click the check box that says "Leader" if you dont it will automatically assume that you want it in the center of the foundation
