I'm completely stumped on how to approach this. This is typical for 4 sides. Any advice?

That's what we call a compound curve. Last time I had to do this, I was forced to model it in CAD and import. But that was before the conceptual mass editor.

Swept blends are the only way I can see this accomplished with the basic modeling tools, and it'd be difficult to stay accurate.
EDIT: this is the closest I could get with a single swept blend, (including a couple void extrusions to trim it nicely) without spending too much time.

Hello, a form like this can be done by making a flat projection of all the points at the reference level. The edges that are going to be curved in the 3d form are created by a spline of 3 points, and the edges that are going to remain horizontal or straight are created as reference lines. Then you need some reference planes in elevation to control the height of the points. Then, create forms. This is the approximate result. It is possible to make another version with a slight curve in the corner edges, as in the photograph.
