HI - I WORK IN REVIT ARCH 2010 AND HAVE A PROBLEM I NOTICE IS ONGOING. I HAVE A TOPOSURFACE THAT I HAVE PUT PADS INTO. IT HAS A FEW SUBREGIONS, PARTLY IN THE AREA IN WHICH I AM WORKING.
I WANT TO QUANTIFY THE CUT/FILL SO I CHANGED IT TO A GRADED REGION, SET ALL MY NEW AND EXISTING PHASES CORRECTLY IN MY ELEMENTS, THEN TRIED TO GET THE DATA THROUGH THE TOPO SCHEDULE. IT DID NOT REGISTER ANY CUTS IN THE PADS.
SO I COPIED THE TOPOSURFACE AND PASTED IT ELSEWHERE TO TRY TO GET DATA FROM A COPY I COULD PLAY AROUND WITH. I COPIED THE PADS, THEN DELETED THEM. (I HAD REVERTED BACK TO BEFORE I CHANGED IT TO A GRADED REGION BEFORE SETTING UP THE MOCK UP) I THEN CHANGED THE COPIED TOPOSURFACE TO A GRADED REGION. I THEN PASTED THE PADS IN FROM THE CLIPBOARD.
SUCCESS! (ALMOST). ABOUT 3 OF 4 NOW HAVE CUT FILL. BUT NOT THE OTHERS! I'M BAFFLED, AND I SEE THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM. I DID NOT NOTICE ANYONE WHO SEEMED TO HAVE A GOOD SOLUTION FOR THIS. THERE MUST BE SOME AUTODESK EXPLANATION SOMEWHERE....
