The temporary dimensions settings have somehow been altered, and now when placing a component, etc., I no longer see any temporary dimensions. I haven't yet found an option where they can be turned off, only options to change from where they're measuring (wall face, centerline, etc.). Does anyone have a solution? I'm using Revit Architecture 2012.

I don't believe that you can turn off temporary dimensions.  The only thing you can do is change the appearance under options; graphics tab.  

So when you click on your component you are still getting the options to change where they are measuring from in the option bar?  If so that would mean that Revit is still reading the dimensions.. does this happen with everything in your Revit model or just a specific component? 

If you are picking on multiple components temporary dimensions will not display.

There are a few settings in the Options dialog box but doesn't let you turn them off.

Might be worth playing with however.
