hi,
does any one know where the "copy rotate" and "repeat lat command" functions are
located and how many layers down?
i will be gratefull if anyboby could enlighten me
they are such simple and effective routines i used since release 10 approx.

You do realise that revit isn't autocad???
Using the rotate command there is a check box for copy when rotating...
Get to know the shortcut keys and you'll find things much easier. Checkout your Keyboardshortcuts.txt file located in your revit program directory.
