I found Revit always has some tackle problems too hard to be solved, as I am doing a project and use Reivt, It kept doing wrong in group, wall sweep, and split materials.
For example , I made two groups of my building, they are the same one, often, if I edited one group of the sweep, or split materials, or applied a new materials to this group, it won't change
another group ,and even worse, when I finished editing and closed one group, the split materials always change back it's original material even I was just look at another view! I always have to
keep on changing and correcting these problems. This is really frustrated that I don't know why Reivt is so unstable.
My Reivt file is too big I cant sent it on net. Just show one picture, see the two parts of the material should be the same, because I use groups, but it doesn't work, see the sweep disappeared in another group.

Sweeps and split materials work and are not really un-stable. You should just not include them in groups. Many hosted elements don't work well in groups unless the host is included as well. And I don't see any way to use a split face for a material change in a group unless the object is included too. (And even then it may not work).
Looking at your imagery, I can't identify your grouping. Can you explain what is grouped and why?

See my pictures, the I have two types groups, the hierachy of the groups is like this, Group2 is the big group, it contains half of my building, see picture1, because my building is symetry under the roofs, so I mirror Group2 to get the whole building. In the Group2 there are three nested groups, name Odd level, Even level, and Every level, these three groups contains only windows , doors and balconys on the out side walls. so the Group2 contains all the out side walls directly, the problems is every time I make a plit materials on the walls or add sweeps it won't change or lose sweeps on the other mirrored sweeps. I have to try it back and forth to fix these problems.

Sorry but I think this is a poor use of groups. Groups do not like to be mirrored ... or even rotated. You would have been better off to group by level. ANd not include any exterior walls in your groups.
Good Luck!
