Hello RevitCity community,
I am trying to create a wall type for a shipping container with a vertical corrugated metal sweep integrated into the wall structure (family). (Edit type, structure, open preview, click sweeps and load a profile)
As seen in the first file, I have only been able to have an integrated sweep run horizontal.
I have gotten the profile to run vertical by using the wall sweep tool but when a window is inserted it cuts through the whole profile, unlike the integrated wall sweep where the profile is cut to the window.
I don't want this to work just because of the window but for ease of application and future knowledge.
I have searched and not been able to find any answers to this problem. If someone could direct me to help or figure it out I would really appreciate it.
Attached is the file I have tried to create the wall type in and the corrugated profile I used.
Thank you!

The file with integrated sweep is to large.
Try adding the profile to a generic wall or post your e-mail and I will mail the file.

You can not define a vertical wall sweep in the wall definitions - only horizontal.

You could do this as a curtain panel with a nested and arrayed extrusion.
It's frustrating with getting the parameters to work. Here's a start. The corrugation of this family stretches with panel width and panel height. feel free to tweak this as needed. (it probably needs it.) to set materials, or edit the profile of the extrusions.
If you have any questions about my hack-job parameters, I'll monitor this thread.
