Hi there.

I am currently using Revit 2012.

I am having an issue with some basic door families that I currently have inserted into a project.  What I am trying to do is to make the door hinge lines (see attached) a grey colour so that they don't stand out as much as the other lines.

I have gone into the family and modified the object style for that particular line type to a grey colour and re-loaded the family into the project. However, the door family appears the same. IE the hinge lines are still a black colour rather than grey.

I have worked out that I can apply an override by category to these lines but with so many views (elevations, internal elevations, sections, etc) to apply these to, it will become too time consuming.

Any ideas on why this is happening? And if it can be fixed?

Thanks in advance.

THE PROJECT RULES.

Rember this for all material and object style settings.  Once set in the project, it can only be changed in the project.

Does this mean that I cannot load the "family object styles" into the project?
