The site plan in my project somehow became corrupted and I was unable to resolve the issue of a road "pad" not cutting the toposurface.  I don't have time to remodel the site, so I reverted back to an older version of the model and stripped everything out except for the site components and then linked the "site" model to my building model.  Worked like a charm, however...

When I go to the elevation view in the building model, the level datums from the linked file are showing up (see attached).  While stripping the building out of the site model, I deleted all views except for "Site Plan".  So I don't understand why these levels are still showing up as the floor plan level associated with them was deleted!  Argh! So frustrating...please help!

Deleting views will not delete levels. But deleting levels will delete the views associated with them.

WWHub - If I do that, then all of the datums (including the ones I want to keep) are hidden.

Jlights - thank you, that's good to know...I'll definitely keep it in mind next time!

I was able to work around this issue by creating a simple topo surface to show line of grade in my elevation & section views...I just "hid" the linked model in those views and then hid the simple toposurface in the 3D views.  Seems to be working for now, thank you both for your help!

berginarchitect - I don't think you understood what I wrote.  You can control linked models seperately from your model.  So you can turn off all annotations for the linked model!
