How do you insert an image in the background of an elevation?
I have tried to insert one but it keeps covering the elevation and I am unable to see my drawing.

When inserting images into elevations it is important to make sure its properties are selected as background. This should solve your problem

Select the image then in your ribbon you'll see the options you have (bring to front, background and so on...)
