Hey Guys!Really helpful site here!  I've been using Revit 2012 for a few months now for University purposes and enjoy using it a lot more then AutoCAD!

Basically I've imported a map in the .dwg file format into a blank revit file in order to get a good site layout.

Is there anyway I can split the lines on the map up into individual lines so I can manipulate the site boundary to allow for my new structure.

Everytime I attempt to click a certain line the whole map highlights.

Will I have to change these lines individually in CAD or can I do it in Revit.

Thanks a lot for your help in advance!

*The second picture is when I try and highlight a single line*

You can't edit a CAD file within Revit.

You could edit the CAD file.  BTW - This should be linked - not inserted.

The best option is to add Revit elements as required and totally get rid of the CAD.

Awesome trick:  Insert the dwg into a revit family, explode it, covert all the lines to revit lines, set them all to one line style, copyclip the lines to a NEW family, layer as need, insert to project.  everything is native revit.
