Thanks for the feedback. But are they? First think about how long it would take someone to model them (of course, some are quicker than others). Then realize that they are yours forever and can be added to as many projects as you'd like. I think $10 goes a long way when you factor those scenarios in.

weird... so i could either use your website and pay $10 for a simple item that takes maybe ten minutes to make or i could come to revit city and use an option thats free... hmm... tough decision.  good luck though!!

Here are the "WEIRD" differences between RC and The Revit Collection:

-We model for other Revit users, while the majority of items on here are usually modeled for the people that upload them. That means they probably took a bunch of shortcuts and when you open the file you need to spend xx minutes figuring out how to make it the way you want because it wasn't built properly.

-There is nothing on TRC that took 10 minutes to model. But let's say each model takes an hour to model... do you think your time is worth $10/hr? I am sure you think it is worth a lot more.

-ALL of our Families are actual products built to manufacturer specs (with the exception of TRC Exclusives which are still built to actual sizes when possible). Again, a lot of the stuff on here is someone's homemade creation -which may or may not be good- but at least with our items you can design your spaces around them because the dimensions are correct.

-Our products are specific (furniture, fixtures, and electronics) and it is easy to search and find them. Our site is designed as most ecommerce sites are which makes the process familiar and easy for the end user.

Don't get me wrong, Revit City is great for a lot of things and I have certainly downloaded my fair share of families created by people that clearly know what they are doing. But I saw a need for something new and something better due to the reasons listed above. Since your sarcasm and condescension perhaps clouded your view from recognizing that, hopefully you now do.

Bravo!!  nice response... seriously no sarcasm at all on this one- you definitely proved your point- say that stuff to anyone and you will make the sale.  I am excited to see what else you will have to offer on your website!!
