Hi all,
In documenting my current project I have created some custom wall types. These wall types exist only within the project given the family called 'wall' is a system family and not available as an item within the library.
This is very frustrating.
The wall types I have created may be used in other projects in the future. Even though I can create other families eg. windows and place them in the library for others to use how do I make the wall types I created available also?
The only that I see is to have them placed within the default template project. This means however every time a new wall type is created I will need to create a new default project template.

You don't need to create a new template... rather than merely edit your existing one to include the new wall type. which is simply done by copying the new wall into the template then deleting it (the settings will remain).
