Is there any way to subtract model text (that has a depth) out of an object...like a wall? i.e. have the text rebated into the wall (negative detail) thanks

Yes this is possible but i'll need to dig it up to remember how to do it... stay tuned - feel free to remind me if i forget as i'm flat out at the moment

Here is one method I saw posted at AUGI. Very clean looking. http://forums.augi.com/showthread.php?t=12308&highlight=model+text Here is his example. Good Luck

thanks for the suggestion rdesign. Trouble is that I dont want to raytrace the image (ie use accurender materials). I just want to have a shaded view with shadows turned on. cheers

just set the model text flush to the wall surface. then use join geometry. this will make Revit cut the text from the wall.
