We have a complicated problem. In our project the walls are 18" thick and composed of two 2x6 walls and an air space between. At the windows and doors we have an angled jamb condition. We’ve tried constructing the jamb condition with 2x4s. Most of the time the intersections of these short walls cleanup ok for the first phase but when we try to demo windows and replace them with doors the short walls tend not to intersect at all.
We’ve thought of constructing the angled jambs as separate families but we haven’t tried it yet. Has anyone had any problems with short lengths of wall and multiple phases? If anyone has any suggested solutions please let us know. Thanks
In the attached image we managed to get them to work but it takes hours of tweaking to accomplish.

We figured this one out. Short, angled jamb intersections can be difficult to construct if you're using the edit profile tool on a wall. These kinds of intersections cleaned up better when we used cripple walls above and below the window opening.
I guess I should have labelled the subject "short walls + edit profile tool problematic"
