I am looking for a way to insert an automatically-adjusted detail callout in a Legend.
ie: "For ceiling insert, see detail: xx/x-x.xx"
Does anyone know of a trick to get this desired result? I'd like to do this so that I don't have to keep a list of the places where I've typed a particular detail into a text box, so that when the detail locaiton changes, it automatically changes with it.
Thanks!

THis would be a great addition for this and other reasons, however I have not seen or heard of a way for Revit to do this. My recommendation for a workaround, and it isn;t a great one, is that you can make a "view schedule". This can reference all your details in the drawings, and of course you can filter out any details not placed on a sheet and the type of detail/view. Then in your note, you can say, "For ceiling insert, see detail "Ceiling Insert Detail*". * you would have to manually manage the name you type here to coorespond to the view name). However, the sheet and drawing numbers would always be up to date.
Yep, it is a non standard workaround, but until Autodesk gets around to allowing text parameters that reference sheets, it's the best that I can offer. Good luck.
