Hi there.
I was wondering if anyone could help me with a dimensioning problem we have encountered with one of our views.
We are currently using Revit 2012 and have used Revit 2009 for the last 3 years.
We have a particular job that is too "long" to fit vertically (So that the street is at the bottom of the landscape page) on our A3 sheets.
In saying this, we utilised the "Rotation on sheet" tool so that it would fit horizontally on a landscape piece of paper.
However, once the view was rotated, our dimensions (in the view) seem to have "mirrored" or "flipped". Is this a normal occurance? Or can we modify the dimension settings so that they are orientated the same way before rotation?
I have provided attachments to help explain.
The problem dimension has a revision cloud around it.
Thanks

Dimensions in Revit follow the keep readable rule ... as does the text. So are you complaining about the fact that they flipped, as they should, or that the one text is now below the line? If it is the latter, see if you moved that dimension text from its native position. That might be what has kept it on this side of the line.

I checked the dimension to see if this was the case, however it's natural lock is how I showed in that diagram.
I could drag the dimension under the line but with 20+ dimensions to do it for, it will become too time consuming.
I am not sure if the dimensions have a setting in their properties which allows this to happen, but I'd be open to suggestions if there is a parameter I can add or modify to prevent this.
Thanks.

The text should read the same direction as the titleblock text, check your drafting standards. BTW I am a certified plans examiner.

Thanks for that.
We worked out a solution for it. IE by rotating the Project North 90º clockwise rather than the view, it solved most of the issues we had with other sheets and still kept the dimensions with our preferred orientation.
Thanks for your help.
