I am drawing a 2nd floor framing plan, and am having trouble showing locations of the first floor windows from our LINKED architecture model.  Basically, I can get the windows to show only if I have "ghost surfaces" turned on.

I made 4 pictures to for a better explanation...

Any help anyone can give would be hugely appreciated!!

So there are no openings in your walls?

I guess the interior 1st floor walls are all showing openings correctly, but the exterior wall is showing neither window or door openings.

I assume you have your own walls and the architect has his.  If so, does your wall have openings in it for the windows?  Did you copy monitor your walls from the architects model or what?

No we are using the architect's walls.  However I just opened their model to check, and their windows are pretty much normal windows that do cut the wall themselves (if that's what you meant).

The only weird thing is they used the windows as "splitting elements" to split the face of the brick on the wall they're attached to.  Cryingso if you move the windows, the wall material above and below them moves also.  Other than that they look like regular windows.
